Indoor climate guidelines

Air conditioning systems are regularly found that have not been properly maintained. A missed opportunity. A well maintained system contributes to the comfort and health of the end user. These indoor climate guidelines are an instrument to guarantee performance in the areas of cooling, ventilation and heating. In addition, these guidelines contribute to extending the life of the device or appliance.

The maintenance guidelines establish standards aimed at achieving a sustainable and energy-efficient indoor climate. The National Property Administration uses these guidelines as a guide for tenders for climate systems in buildings.

Benefits of the guidelines:

  • Extend the life of an air conditioning system
  • Guarantee quality and save energy
  • Increase comfort for users
  • Provide a healthy indoor environment

In order to get the whole of climate systems well documented, the industry associations NVKL (cooling), Binnenklimaat Nederland (ventilation) and the Dutch Heating Industry (heating) have worked together intensively and a good basis has been laid for making the indoor climate more sustainable. The maintenance specifications set standards aimed at achieving a sustainable and energy-efficient indoor climate.
