Albert Walda training advisor and ambassador Vakcentrum Binnenklimaattechniek

15 March 2023

From 1 March 2023, Albert Walda will be training advisor of the Vakcentrum Binnenklimaattechniek. Albert is 60 years old, lives in Enschede and has been working in the installation sector for over 40 years. During that time, he has mainly developed in the field of air treatment. In his new role, he will be a source of questions for the various interested parties, spotting and responding to new developments in the installation sector and actively approaching employers (especially companies active in air treatment) and informing them about the opportunities offered by the Vakcentrum. In his spare time, he does all kinds of things, but what he likes best is travelling, playing sports and meeting up with friends or family. He has been self-employed since 1986, and over time Albert has increased his knowledge by attending many training courses in the evenings. In January 2022, after years of successful entrepreneurship, he sold his business to gain more independence. This allowed him to focus on other things that also held his interest and he became co-developer of the curriculum for Mechanic Air Distribution. Albert also contributed to the advent of the Trade Centre Binnenklimaattechniek.

Purpose of the Trade Centre

We ask Albert what experience he brings with him to this position and what the purpose of the Trade Centre Binnenklimaattechniek is. To this he replies, "I am able to communicate with people at all levels within organisations, have a lot of people skills and, partly due to my experience as an entrepreneur in installation engineering, am also very knowledgeable on the subject. During the development of the teaching materials, the contacts were established with Remi Hompe (Chairman Binnenklimaattechniek Foundation) and Nico van Leeuwen (ROVC), the click was so good that we were able to quickly and decisively build the Trade Centre. With the aim of raising the industry's profile, providing a meeting place and creating a source of expertise from and for the industry."

Who is the Trade Centre Binnenklimaattechniek for?

The Vakcentrum is intended for companies, employees and others interested in air treatment and related techniques.O+O Funds and the UWV can help bring the Vakcentrum to their attention. Albert believes the Vakcentrum can also serve as a model for, for example, The Technology Attack Plan/The Golden Gate.

Unique in its kind

The Trade Centre is the place where aspiring and experienced climate technicians receive hands-on education on all aspects related to healthy indoor climate in buildings and homes. It opened in 2022. Albert describes the Vakcentrum as unique of its kind where a huge amount of expertise is housed in a state-of-the-art environment. It is independent and service-oriented, open to innovations and new ideas.

What do we want to achieve with the Trade Centre Binnenklimaattechniek?

In the first place, the Trade Centre acts as a knowledge centre, in addition to being a promoter for the industry and, last but not least, a meeting place for colleagues and professionals. Hybrid training is highly regarded and the Vakcentrum is in Pole Position in this respect. According to Albert, the Vakcentrum is therefore far from finished:

"The continued involvement and commitment of the various stakeholders are therefore much needed to achieve this goal. I expect that as the Trade Centre becomes better known, involvement will also increase."

In his role as training advisor, Albert is also something of an ambassador for the Binnenklimaattechniek Trade Centre, and in this capacity he is at the forefront when it comes to the further development of the Trade Centre.
